JUSTIN STROTHER WINS JURY TRIAL IN LAWSUIT BETWEEN BUSINESS OWNERS

Justin's client, a business co-owner, was locked in a dispute with another co-owner, who had reneged on his promise to buy out Justin's client and then began attempting to unilaterally operate the business.  Justin filed suit for breaches of agreements and the co-owner's fiduciary duties.  The jury found in Justin's client's favor on all of his client's claims, awarding his client over $800,000 in damages.

JUSTIN STROTHER WINS DISMISSAL OF LAWSUIT ON STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS GROUND

Justin's client, a gunite subcontractor, was sued by a homeowner in a lawsuit alleging swimming pool defects.  Justin successfully won a judgment in his client's favor prior to trial based upon his legal argument that the applicable statute of limitations barred the suit.  The plaintiff had argued that the statute of limitations was tolled due to an insurance company being placed in receivership.  Plaintiff's suit was allowed to continue against the other defendants, but Justin obtained a judgment in his client's favor and was able to avoid the expense of trial.

JUSTIN STROTHER OBTAINS TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER PROHIBITING CLIENT'S FORMER EMPLOYEE FROM COMPETING

Days after being terminated from Landmark Power Exchange, the terminated employee went to work for a competitor. Justin Strother sought an emergency TRO against the ex-employee that would prohibit the employee from directly or indirectly soliciting Landmark's customers. JUSTIN STROTHER OBTAINS JUDGMENT AGAINST TRUSTEE FOR BREACH OF FIDUCIARY DUTY

After a trial in the Probate Court No. 4 of Harris County, Texas, the court rendered a judgment finding that the trustee of the Porter Phillips Trust breached his fiduciary duties to Justin Strother's client, a beneficiary of the trust. The judgment required the trustee to pay the beneficiary's damages and attorney's fees.

JUSTIN STROTHER OBTAINS $1.2 MILLION JUDGMENT AGAINST CITY CAPITAL CORPORATION AND EPHREN TAYLOR FOR FRAUD

Justin Strother obtained a $1.2 million judgment against City Capital Corporation and Ephren Taylor on behalf of his clients, Anito Dorio, Gary Dorio, and Virginia Wallace. The defendants had induced Mr. Strother's clients to liquidate their investments in other vehicles, set up a self-directed IRA, and then invest all of the money in subsidiaries owned by CCC. CCC then used the sums to pay off previous investors and liquidated the subsidiaries.

JUSTIN STROTHER SUCCESSFULLY DEFENDS WEIGHT CONTROL BY SHAUN ECKHARDT FROM BREACH OF COVENANT NOT TO COMPETE SUIT FILED BY SHAUN KELLEY WEIGHT LOSS

After a trial in the 11th Judicial District Court of Harris County, Texas, the court rendered a judgment in favor of Justin Strother's client, Weight Control by Shaun Eckhardt, in a suit brought by the former employer of the company's principal.
